Coalescer

The Magnus Coalescer separates splitting oils from oil/water or oil/cleaner, solutions. Oils which are chemically emulsified or soluble in water, will not be effectively removed by coalescing.

THEORY OF OPERATION

The coalescer is designed to use the natural gravity difference between oil and water as well as the oil-philliac  (oil attracting ) properties of the coalescing elements to separate the oil.  The oil laden solution is introduced into a still chamber with the coalescing element.  The chamber is sized to provide adequate residence time for oil separation.  The coalescing element provides a baffling effect to maintain a still volume and provides the oil-philliac surface for very small droplets of oil to collect on and coalesce into larger droplets.  The larger droplets have adequate buoyancy to float to the top of the chamber.  Once on the surface of the chamber, the oil is removed by an overflow weir.

By keeping cleaning baths from excessive soil overload it will extend the bath life, the chemical additives are reduces and the overall bath life is extended, resulting in fewer bath dumps and improved cleaning effectiveness. The cleaner bath provides consistently cleaner work loads by removing major contaminations.

 


Dryers
Tunnel Dryer

Convection (forced air recirculation) dryer is configured as a tunnel dryer with the parts being transferred through the tunnel by the operator on a roller conveyor. The interior is fabricated of aluminized carbon steel, 2” of thermal insulation with epoxy painted carbon steel insulation jackets. Insulated sliding doors are provided on each end of the tunnel. The recirculation centrifugal fan is 1 HP, 1200 CFM circulation rate which provides 86 air changes per minute in the drying chamber.

 

Compressed Blow-Off Dryer

Compressed Air Blow Off Dryer is a pass through dryer and has one compressed air blow off using a fixed air knife powered by compressed air (customer supplied) to remove excess liquid droplets from the outside of parts. The air knife is located in an enclosure which has strip curtains on the entrance and exit to reduce spray exiting the enclosure. A stainless steel roller conveyor is provided through the enclosure to roll basket parts manually through the blow off. A drip pan with a drain connection is provided below the roller conveyor to collect water. The air knife is turned on and off using a manual valve located on the top of the blow off.

The Magnus Equipment Foam & Clean system is Simply the most flexible and practical foam cleaning system on the Market. The system runs on air. That means no heat, no pumps, no moving parts, no problems. The Magnus Equipment Foam & Clean is literally maintenance free.

How the System Works

Air pressure generates the foam and delivers 100% concentration to the desired soiled equipment and work the surfaces. Anormal 20 to 1 air to product ratio provides maximum dwell time with no delution of the cleaning solution.

Small but Powerful

The Magnus Equipment Foam & Clean is small, but powerful. The 5 gallon unit weighs less than 50 lbs., but generates up to 100 gallons of chemical foam where ever you need it. The semi portable 45 gallon unit produces 1000 gallons of foam.

The Magnus Equipment Foam & Clean is used in the Transportation, Aviation and General Industries cleaning castings, vertical and overhead surfaces, stationary machinery and equipment, engines, Lift trucks and Towmotors, Truck, vans and more.

 

 


 

Rinse Booth

Magnus Equipment offers two sizes of Rinse Booths 60" and 84" and will keep all rinsing operations in one section of the shop and eliminate dirty, wet floor conditions caused by moving dripping baskets of parts from one location to be rinsed.

Magnus Equipment Rinse Booths are recommended for cleaning processes where manual pressure water rinsing is necessary. The booth is mounted on legs, constructed of #10 gauge steel sheets, with all seams electrically welded and factory tested.

A heavy duty grate platform above the bottom of the tank and a three inch drain outlet with a removable perforated sheet metal strainer over the drain to prevent large particles entering the shop sewer.

Booths are equipped with an air/water pressure rinse gun with hoses.
