Standard Modular Equipment

Power Sonics manufactures a wide range of Magnetostrictive, Spaced-lamination Ultrasonic Cleaner Equipment and Systems, an improvement over the technology innovated and developed by Power Sonics personnel at Westinghouse more than 40 years ago. The Power Sonics ultrasonics construction is far more effective than any other ultrasonic methods, including zero-spaced lamination magnetostrictive and electrostrictive (piezo electric) types, and is the best method to clean, degrease, de-carbonize, strip, quench, pickle and apply protective coatings to your parts.

The cleaning action is a "scrubbing action" generated by the movement of the ultrasonic transducer radiating surface sending sound waves into the liquid cleaning solution. The resultant increased and decreased pressure zones in the bath create violent implosions, which scrub the wetted part surface. This action reaches all part surfaces including the deep recesses, tight crevices and blind holes, removing dirt and grease using all types of cleaning compounds such as alkaline, solvents, emulsions, phosphate, acid and soaps.
