Batch Ultrasonic Applications

Batch cleaning applications are those in which the product is situated in a basket or shop tote with a quantity of other parts. These form a “nest” of parts and have been the most common way of handling product through manufacturing operations for many years. Often these nests create difficulty in obtaining uniform cleaning or even getting parts clean. Tight nests can extend cleaning times or require much larger systems to achieve desired production rates.

Using high power ultrasonics helps to penetrate the nest and “scrub” within the nest with high power cavitation. Some typical applications include:
