Description
A thermal cutout fuse, also known as a thermal fuse, is a safety device designed to protect electrical components from overheating. When the temperature exceeds a specified limit, the thermal fuse will fail open, breaking the electrical circuit and stopping the flow of current. Unlike thermal switches, which can reset, thermal fuses are one-time use devices that must be replaced once triggered. They are commonly used in various appliances to prevent fire hazards by ensuring that overheating does not occur.
