Description
Inductive sensors detect metal objects contactless and wear-free. For this, they use a high-frequency electromagnetic AC field that interacts with the target. Inductive sensors generate this field via an RLC circuit with a ferrite coil. Regular maintenance and performance monitoring is recommended. Proximity sensors should be replaced when they show signs of failure or when they are no longer functioning correctly. Some common malfunctions include the sensor not detecting objects, not responding at all, or becoming overly sensitive to nearby objects. If the sensor requires frequent maintenance or calibration, this can indicate a need for replacement. DO NOT attempt any maintenance until all utility supplies have been disconnected and locked out.
